Goal Zero Lighthouse is a unique, waterproof lantern and it is very convenient for camping or outdoor lifes. First let us look at it is features from the following picture:

Light controller
The large on/off knob on the front of the lantern is super easy to find (even if you can't see it!). Turning to the right lights the entire lantern, and turning to the left saves battery by only lighting half of it. The light can be adjusted from very dim to very bright in either full or half mode, and the knob makes a loud click when turned off to make sure you don't accidentally put it in very dark mode!
Foldable legs
The wire legs fold up and fit neatly around the top of the lantern, making it more streamlined for hanging, or maintaining a low center of gravity on uneven surfaces. Although the legs don't lock when folded, they still provide a very stable base that elevates the light and helps it reach further.
Carry handle
This simple metal D-shaped handle sits flush with the lantern's top edge when not in use, and rotates loosely in its fixture when held or hung.
Dynamo hand crank
There is a handle on the top of the lantern that turns the internal generator to charge the batteries. 1 minute of activation (in either direction) recharges the battery, enough to provide 10 minutes of light. When not in use, the handle folds down and fits into the top of the lantern.
Battery indicator
There are four blue lights on the lantern's control panel that indicate the battery charge level. All four lights will be blue if fully charged, and the lights will blink while the battery is charging.
USB port
The 1.5 amp USB port is a very useful feature that allows you to charge your phone, GPS device, headlamp, camera and more while at camp.
Built in USB cord
The little red triangle on the control panel turns on the flashing red emergency light on top of the lantern. It can be used with the main light at the same time.
